Leona May (Vaughan) Turney

Leona May Turney, age 87 residing in Bolivar, Missouri, passed away onto her heavenly home and into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on June 1, 2018. She was born May 3, 1931 in Reedly, California to May (Swaffer) Vaughan and Claude A. Vaughan. Leona enjoyed music and playing hymns on the piano, organ and accordion. She took great pleasure in planting flowers, shrubs, trees and tending her yard. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly, praying for them devotedly. Leona was preceded in death by her loving husband, Carl C. Turney; brothers, Gene, Allen, JR, Samuel, Daniel, Jonathan Vaughan and sister, Annabelle Vaughan; great-grandchildren, Gage Coble, Miles Lombardi and baby Hayden. Leona May Turney is survived by her son, Dwight (Brenda) Turney of Fort Worth; daughters, Sharon (David) Coble of Greenfield, Missouri; and Deborah Turney of Oahu, Hawaii; grandchildren: Bryan (Terilyn) Turney of St Charles, Illinois; Rachel (Ben) Hayden, of Springfield, Missouri; Step-grandchildren, David (Tara) Coble, of Nixa, Missouri, Michael (Andrea) Coble of Springfield, Missouri and Sarah (Dan) Lombardi, of Ozark, Missouri; great-grandchildren: Logan and Landon Turney, Mason Coble, Austin and Lily Gentry, Brooklyn Coble, Emilee and Clara Coble, Norah and Jones Lombardi and Marilla and Gus Hayden. Sister-in-laws Vivian Littlepage, Beatrice Gallaher, and brother-in-law Carmen (Bud) Turney. Her family eagerly awaits the day to hold this precious momma again in that glorious city!
