Leonard Leon Hinds

Leonard Leon Hinds, 90, of Burleson, Texas, passed away June 27, 2016 from pancreatic cancer at Huguley Nursing and Rehab. Funeral services: 10 AM Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Pathway Church of Burleson, 325 NW Renfro. Interment: Cresson Cemetery. Visitation: 5-7PM Wednesday, June 29. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to Community Opportunities, Inc. C/O Pam Masters, 113 Walnut, Keene, TX Leonard was born in Edom, Texas to Lenard and Elsie Mullen Hinds. Mr. Hinds was a retired postal carrier from the Crowley, Texas Post Office. He was an avid domino player and he loved working in his gardens over the years. Leonard also loved animals as was shown by the variety that he raised. He was known for his kindness to everyone. Leonard was well respected by his family and friends and was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone he thought needed help. Preceded in death by his first wife, Opal Teague Hinds; son, Kenneth Hinds; granddaughter, Becky Lafevre and brother Tommy Hinds. Survivors: daughter, Sue Renfro and son-in-law David of Burleson; granddaughter Lori Renfro of Burleson; three great grandchildren, Kali Phelps (Jonathan) of Granbury, Xan Roddy of Azle, and Logan Lafevre of Fort Worth; two sisters, Margie Shaw of Arlington, Mary Horton of Joshua; two brothers, Paul Hinds (Sandy) of Heath and Ronnie Hinds (Lynda) of Arlington; and good friend, Goldie Matheny of Burleson.
