Lester Thomas Sain

Lester Thomas Sain, 89 died Saturday, January 23, 2021.

Grave side services will be Friday, January 29, 2021 at 11:00 at Burleson Memorial Cemetery.  Visitation will be Thursday, January 28, 2021 from 6:30 – 8:30pm at Mountain Valley Funeral Home, Burleson TX.

Lester Sain was born May 28, 1931 to Perry David Sain and Lillian Terry Sain.  He was married Theda Rose Perkins on October 27, 1951.  His wife, Theda Sain proceeded him in death on September 26, 2003.

Lester was a truly remarkable individual.  He served his country during the Korean War and his community, Burleson, TX for over 30 years as a Volunteer Firefighter.  His professional career was a mechanic.  He retired from Charlie Hillard Ford at the age of 65.  He spent the remainder of his life as he liked to say “doing fun jobs”.  Lester was always there for anyone who needed help.  He was a great mentor for all who wanted to learn anything he had to share.

Lester is survived by a daughter, Polly Sain Lail, son, James Alan Sain and wife Jennifer Rich Callaway Sain.  Two sisters, Nelda Dodd of Midlothian, TX and Mattie Townzen of Osceola, TX, 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, 3 sisters-in-laws and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lester will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.  We will miss him but rejoice that he has made his final journey home to The Lord.
