JOSHUA -- Linda Sue Goodwin Stanley, 62, died Friday, Sept. 2, 2005, at her residence in Joshua. Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday, Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Burial: George's Creek Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Linda was born Oct. 8, 1942, in Cleburne to Travis Lee and Lucille Meryl Goodwin. She loved to watch Lisa play sports. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Travis and Lucille Goodwin; brother, Edwin Goodwin; and sister, Ella Virginia Goodwin. Survivors: Husband, George Horton Stanley of Joshua; daughter, Lisa Murlene Stanley of Joshua; twin sister, Cinda Morton and husband, Sam of Burleson; sister, Bobbie Bombard and husband, Elvin of Burleson; namesake, Cheryl Sue Harper of Mesquite; numerous nieces and nephews.
