Lisa Kim Franklin

On Sunday, December 13, 2020, Lisa Franklin, loving wife, mother, grandma, and daughter, passed away at the age of 60 at home surrounded by family.

The viewing will be Tuesday, December 15, 2020 from 6-8:00p.m. and the funeral services will be Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at 10a.m. at Mountain Valley Funeral Home at 3407 SW Wilshire Blvd in Joshua, Texas 76058. The graveside will follow at Laurel Land Cemetery of Crowley at 7100 Crowley Rd Ft Worth, Texas 76134.

Lisa was born July 24, 1960 in Ft Worth, Texas to Richard and Joy (Lanier) Martin. She attended Southwest High School in Ft Worth and spent most of her career working in accounting. She ended her career as the office manager at JD Labels in Burleson. She grew up in Ft Worth and then lived in Burleson for 35 years before moving to Cleburne this year.

Lisa loved watching her grandkids in all their activities from soccer to volleyball to motocross to baseball and rodeo. It did not matter what it was as long as she was with her grandkids she was happy. In her last months she was happiest with her newest grandson who was 6 months old. They were all her pride and joy. Anyone who knew her knew this instantly. She also enjoyed being at the lake with family, the water park with the grandkids and she loved her Texas Rangers. Lisa had a smile as big as Texas that lit up any room she was in. She was always a happy and laughing person who loved life.

Lisa is preceded in death by her daughter Brandi Petrie, grandparents C.A. and Ellen Lanier and Walter and Mozelle Martin and husband Chris Aultman.

She is survived by her husband and best friend of twenty loving years, Joe Franklin of Cleburne. Her children Tony (Kimberly) Petrie of Cleburne, Sandi (Buddy) Davis of Midland, Jeremy (Traci) Petrie of Aledo, Michael (Ashley) Franklin of Sherman, and Daniel (LeAudra) Franklin of Arkansas and her seventeen grandchildren. Her parents Richard and Joy Martin of Cleburne and sister Lorrie (William) Butcher of Crowley and numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, and many friends.

The Pallbearers will be Ray Storey, Matt Vaughan, Dustin Vaughan, Gary Brown, Trent Tucker and Kyle Taft.
