Liston L. Bryant, 85 of Burleson, a retired credit manager for the Fort Worth Star Telegram for over 40 years and current Elder for the Burleson Church of Christ, died Tuesday Sept. 6, 2011 in Fort Worth. Funeral: 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Burleson Church of Christ. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park, Fort Worth. Visitation: 7-9 p.m. Friday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Liston Lee Bryant was born July 9, 1926 in Fort Worth to Lillian D. and Ethel Mae Riddle Bryant. He married Ama Marie Kirkpatrick on July 12, 1947 in Fort Worth and proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Burleson Church of Christ since 1959 and served as an Elder for the past 48 years. He also served on the Burleson ISD School Board for several years and was a member of the Burleson Fire Department for 40 years. Survivors: Wife of 64 years, Ama Bryant of Burleson; son, Ronnie Bryant and wife, Paula of Burleson; daughters, Linda Pettigrew and husband, Chuck of Burleson, Tammy Worsham and husband, Robin of Ovilla;grandchildren, David Pettigrew and wife, Riki, Haley Love and husband, Zack, Kelsey Bryant, Joshua Worsham, Hannah Worsham; great grandchildren, Jarett Bunch-Pettigrew, Emma Bunch-Pettigrew; several nieces, nephews, and other family members.
