Lloyd Arthur Porter, 67, a retired heavy equipment operator, of Fort Worth died Thursday Dec. 17, 2009 in Alvarado. Graveside Service: 2:00 P.M. Tuesday Dec. 22, 2009 at Union Hill Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 P.M. Monday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. He was born Jan. 11, 1942 in Shamrock, Tx to Milford Arthur and Sally Bell Dindy Porter. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and loved his family and his church family very much and was very involved. He was a member of Apostolic Lighthouse Church of Mansfield. He also loved flying model airplanes. Survivors: Wife, Brenda Porter of Fort Worth; daughters, Sarah Porter of Fort Worth, Stacy Thornburg and husband Randy of Granbury, Teanna Gregory of Sherman; sons, George Arthur Porter, Scott Merchant and wife Jo; sister, Barbara White of Mineral Wells; 11 grandchildren; extended family and friends.
