Lottie Mae "Sis" "Nana" Blankenship -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- JOSHUA -- Lottie Mae "Sis" "Nana" Blankenship, 90, of Joshua, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2012, in Ft. Worth. Service: 2PM Saturday, November 24, Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation was 6-8PM Friday, at the funeral Home. Burial: Cleburne Memorial Cemetery. Lottie Mae was born May 18, 1922, in Cleburne, to the late Robert Clinton, and Fannie Mavornee Belle Johnson Cummings. She was always very proud of her large family, as she and her twin, Lester Ray "Son" Cummings, were two of ten children. Lottie Mae married David G. Blankenship, March 29, 1941. She loved her family, staying very involved in the lives of her grandchildren. She greatly enjoyed being outside, and tending to her flowers and garden, always talking and telling stories of her life as a twin, being one of ten children, and of her marriage with David. Survivors: daughters, Julie Hollaway, and husband Phillip, of Joshua, and Joyce Short, and husband John, of Crowley; grandchildren, Jason and Ashley Hollaway, Joseph Kuenz, and Cassondra Singleton, all of Joshua, Robert Gray, of Ft. Worth, David Short, of Godley, and Alan Short of Lake Worth. Great-grandchildren, Matthew, Jeffrey, Aaron, Chris, and Shawn Singleton, all of Joshua, David and Kayla Short, of Burleson, Kaitlyn Short of Godley; and brother, R.L. Cummings, of Harrell, AR.
