Louis Whitney McAlister, 81, passed away March 3, 2013, in Fort Worth. Service: 10:00 AM, Friday, March 8, 2013, Graveside Laurel Land Memorial Park in Fort Worth. Visitation: 6-8 PM, Thursday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Louis was born July 28, 1931 in Tarrant Co. to Robert Lee and Lois Whitney McAlister. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Louis loved spending time with his family. He proudly served his country in the US Navy and was a special friend of the BFMC. Graduated from Burleson HS and member of the EX Students Assocation. Louis was a lifelong resident of Johnson Co. He was preceded in death by: wife, Betty McAlister, parents, 3 brothers and 1 sister. Survivors: daughter, Ann Marie Lewis and husband Larry of Alvarado; son, Steven McAlister and girlfriend, Patti Sanders of Granbury; brother, Emory McAlister and wife, Bobby of Briar Oaks; 4 grandchildren, Matthew, Nathaniel, Philip, and Kira; 6 great grandchildren, Hannah, Elizabeth, Sarah, Cody, Hayden, and Tyler, extended family and friends.
