Loyce Laselle Owen

March 12, 1932 — August 31, 2021

Burleson

Loyce Laselle Owen, “Nawnie,” passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, peacefully in her sleep, in Fort Worth.

Loyce Owen was born March 12, 1932, in Granbury, Texas, the daughter of John and Clara Collier. Loyce was one of 7 children born to John and Clara. Within the siblings there were 2 sets of twins, one of which was Loyce and identical twin Joyce. She was united in holy matrimony in 1949 to Alvin I. Owen, who preceded her in death in 2003.

She had been a resident of Burleson for 63 years, and was an active member at First Baptist Church of Burleson. She was also a member of The Order of the Eastern Star, Alvarado chapter #656, for 55 years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandbabies and great-grandbabies, and considered everyone in her church, family.

Loyce was very private about her age and would always say, “Age is just a number and mine is unlisted.” She was also known for her sassiness, loyalty and kind-heartedness. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 8, 2021, in the Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2021, at the funeral home. Burial follows at Laurel Land in Fort Worth.
