Margretta E. Douglas

January 25, 1923 — February 12, 2012

John 3:16 KJV For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Mrs. Margaretta E Douglas was born January 25, 1923, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to the late Paul and Randy Keesee. To this union, thirteen children were born, in which all have preceded her in death. She went to grade school in Lima, OK and then high school in Wewoka, OK. She relocated to Oakland, CA and there she enrolled in the nursing program at Merritt College. She was blessed with her husband Melvin Douglas and her loving son Roderick Yoder. She accepted Christ at an early age, where she attended First Baptist of Lima. She later united at the Market Street Seventh Day Adventist Church in Oakland, CA. Margaretta later moved to Cleburne TX and joined Emmanuel Seventh Day Adventist Church under the leadership of Pastor J. Malcolm Phipps II. She held the office of Sabbath Superintendent, Sabbath School Secretary and was part of the Deaconess. Sister Douglas fought a good fight and left to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 12, 2012. Margaretta leaves to cherish her memory; her devoted nieces; Jewel Harper-Simon of Princeton TX and Claudia Harris of Oakland, CA, a special friend, Arnell Langrum and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and church family.
