Marie Claire Hampton

Marie Hampton, devoted and cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, went to be with her Heavenly Father on December 8, 2013. Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 AM, Thursday, December 12, 2013 at St. Ann Catholic Church, Burleson, followed by a private family interment. Rosary Service: 6-8 PM Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Marie was born the youngest of eight children to Andrew and Margaret Kearney of Boston, Massachusetts on December 5, 1923. She relocated to Fort Worth, Texas in 1947 with her husband and later settled in Burleson. She was the very embodiment of grace, faith, love and all things maternal. Marie was a founding and active member of St. Ann Catholic Church, though her greatest successes and legacy come from her family. She was always in attendance at ball games and school activities. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Hampton, daughter, Jean Marie Dupew, grandson, Roy Hampton II, her parents, and all of her siblings.She is survived by her children, Donna Looney and husband David of Burleson, Roy Hampton and wife Cindy of Burleson, Teresa Doutlick and husband Mark of Benbrook, 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and countless friends.
