Marie Elaine Phillips of Burleson went to be with her Heavenly Father on Friday, Sept. 1, 2017. She was born Oct. 21, 1941, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Benford and Esther Hughey. Memorial service: 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2017, in the Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Marie enjoyed spending time with her family and kids, loved holidays and arts and crafts. She loved the Lord Jesus. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Ray Phillips Sr. Survivors: sons, Herbert Ray Phillips Jr. and wife Tami, Johnny Ray Phillips, Kenny Phillips and wife Shona, Michael Phillips; brother, Ben Hughey; sister, Barbara Cedillo; cousin, Gene Hughey; grandchildren, Johnathan Phillips, Ericka Phillips, Andrew Christensen, Sierra Phillips, Perry Phillips, Julia Phillips, Levi Phillips, Winter Phillips, Summer Phillips, Chloe Phillips; and eight great-grandchildren.
