Marilyn Faye (Johnson) Bush

Marilyn Faye Johnson Bush entered the arms of her heavenly father on April 6, 2024. She was born March 21, 1945, to the late Cleo Loyd Johnson and Mary Wynelle Turner Niswanger in Corsicana, Texas.
Marilyn was a homemaker and enjoyed many hobbies. She loved planting flowers in any free space she could find. Some of her favorite things to do were play the piano, organ, or harmonica. She was a very talented artist. The family enjoyed her oil paintings, quilting, crocheted blankets made for her granddaughters, and handmade Christmas stockings for all 10 grandchildren. She loved to decorate at Christmas. She collected manger scenes and "dancing Santas" that brought the family joy and laughter. She loved being outside camping, riding motorcycles, or playing frisbee golf with her grandkids. Marilyn was a long-time member of Reece Prairie Baptist church. She could be found in the church nursery every week and was considered "Nana" by many church kids over the years.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Marion Othel Bush, her parents, and step-father, Leslie William Niswanger.
Left to cherish her memory are her four sons Kirby and Scarlett Bush of Ft. Worth, Kenneth and Melissa Bush of Joshua, Jody and Tamara Bush of Joshua, and Tracy and Mary Bush of Damascus, Arkansas, ten grandchildren who will miss their Nanny: Maeghan (Lainee), James (Chelsie), Andriah (Trey), Isaac, Tareah (Paul), Jordan, Gloria (David), Madi, Benjamin (Amelia), and Carson, one great-grandson, Braxton, Aunt Linda and Uncle Bill Newell, and numerous family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on April 11, 2024, at Mountain Valley Funeral Home in Joshua, Texas. Funeral will be at 1:00 p.m. on April 12, 2024, at Mountain Valley Funeral Home in Joshua, Texas. Interment will follow at Caddo Cemetery in Joshua, Texas.
