Mary Elizabeth Phink, age 92, wife and loving mother of 4, passed away Tuesday morning, 2/8 in Fort Worth, TX. Mary was born on 10/8/1929 in Aransas Pass, TX to John (“Dudie”) and Opal Youngblood.
In 1947 at the age of 18, Mary began working for Southwestern Bell in Fort Worth. Mary retired from Southwestern Bell in 1982 after 35 years of service. Mary was a long time member of Bethesda Baptist Church in Burleson, TX. Throughout her life, Mary brought joy and love to everyone she knew. Some of Mary’s favorite pastimes were spending time with family and friends, attending church, sewing, dancing to Big Band music, and camping in her earlier years.
Mary is survived by her 4 children Monty Lopez (Adrianna), Gary Lopez (Susan), Denice Jackson (Joe) & Becky Norman, 3 grandchildren (Justin Gibson, Ryan Norman, & Allison Stateler), her husband of 48 years, Ray Phink, 2 step-daughters (Kaye Lenox & Joyce Lazzaro) 2 step-grandchildren (Joey Lenox & Michole Easterly), 3 loving brothers (Elmer, Delmer, and Tommy Youngblood) and one sister (Kathleen Jackson) along with several nieces and nephews who all loved her dearly. Mary will be deeply missed by her entire family.
Visitation and funeral services will be held at Bethesda Baptist Church in Burleson, TX on Tuesday, 2/15.
Visitation 930AM – 1030AM, funeral service will begin at 1030AM. Graveside service for family members will be held at Tye Cemetery in Burleson, TX.
