Maxidene (Luckie) Massey

Maxidene Luckie Sharp Massey, 81, A cherished wife, mama and nana went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 24, 2020.  Her perseverance, strength and faith facing adversity in life and health challenges was an inspiration to family and friends.

Maxidene was born May 20, 1939 in Iredell Texas to Cecil Wesley and Essie Mae Luckie.  She was a nurturing caregiver in her personal life as well as her chosen profession as a nurse for 25 years.

Maxidene was preceded in death by her first husband of 45 years, Charles Sharp, her parents and sisters Anna Berna and Sue O’Bryant.

Survivors include husband Charles “Chuck” Massey of Burleson; daughters Vicki Sharp Gamez of Burleson and Kim Kimble and husband Scott of Joshua; grandchildren Shane Robertson of Burleson, Lindsay Elliott and fiancé John Bransom of Burleson and Sarah Hamilton and husband Jarrod of Keller; 8 great grandchildren and 5 great, great grandchildren; Brother Jim Luckie of Collinsville; brothers-in-law James Sharp (Brenda) of Dublin, Jim Walton (Dawn) of Midland and Frank O’Bryant of Stephenville; sisters-in-law Joy Starks of Dallas and Sue Black of Arlington; numerous beloved nieces and nephews, cousins and other relatives; three Bonus children, 14 Bonus grandchildren, 38 Bonus great grandchildren and 5 Bonus great, great grandchildren.

Visitation is Monday, January 4, 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Mountain Valley Funeral Home, Burleson.

Home Going Service will be held Tuesday, January 5, 10AM, at The Church at Union Hill, 1733 Conveyor, Joshua Texas Officiant will be Pastor Josh Burns

Interment to follow at Burleson Memorial Park
