Maxine (Fuller) Carlock

Funeral Services for Maxine Carlock, 89, of Joshua, Texas will be conducted at 10:00 am Friday, August 19, 2022, in the Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Brother Roy Gee will officiate. Burial will follow in the Union Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 pm, Thursday, August 18, 2022, in Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Mrs. Carlock passed away on Monday, August 15, 2022 in Fort Worth, Texas.

She was born on October 21, 1932, in Stonewall, Oklahoma to T.J. and Leler Fuller. She married H.S. (Bob) Carlock on February 25, 1956. They were married for 51 years and raised 2 children, Janet and Rodney.

Maxine retired from Godley Independent School. Maxine and Bob enjoyed time with their grandchildren and traveling across the country. Their travel took them across all 48 states and Alaska. She was a member of Union Hill Presbyterian Church.

She was proceeded in death by her parents; husband, Bob; 2 sisters; four brothers, and son-in-law Ron Bednorz. Mrs. Carlock is survived by one brother; and two sisters; her daughter, Janet Bednorz, of Joshua, Texas; Son, Rodney Carlock, and wife Teresa, of Joshua, Texas; Four granddaughters, Kristin Knight, Kayla Harvey (Brendan), Macy Spence (Ty), and Anna Carlock; and seven great-grandchildren.

Maxine was a loving mother and grandmother. She was Memaw to her first three granddaughters until her fourth granddaughter came alone and named her Meme which was not approved by the others. Being the devoted grandparent she was, she answered to both.
