Michael Shane Soltau

Michael Shane Soltau, entered the presence of his savior, Jesus Christ, August 13, 2012, in Burleson. Memorial Service: 1PM Friday, St. Matthew Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Burleson. No visitation is scheduled. Mike was born February 20, 1966, in Nashville, TN, to Reverend George C., and Linnie Short Soltau. He Graduated from Southwest Texas State University in 1993 with a BA in Geography. Mike was an active member of St. Matthew Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Burleson. He worked as a petroleum land man for Devon Energy Corporation. Mike was preceded in death by his father. Survivors: mother, of Longview; wife, Mary Townsend Soltau; sons, Joseph Shane, and Joshua Michael, all of Burleson; daughter, Ashley Rodriguez, of San Antonio; siblings, Eleanor Veon and husband Roderick, of Gaithersburg, MD, Thomas Soltau, and wife Carolyn, of Dripping Springs, Marian Whittington, and husband Don, of Russellville, AR, Stanley Soltau, and wife Bridgett, and John Soltau, both of Austin, Anne Baxendell, and husband Emmett, of Clairton, PA, Robert Soltau, and wife Sandra, of Longview, Kathy Bremer, and husband Carl, of Cedar Park; and numerous nieces, and nephews. Additionally, he leaves a vast number of friends who enjoyed his sense of humor and love of life. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made at any Wells Fargo Banking Center to the Michael Soltau Memorial Fund.
