Morris Steven Tawater

Steve Tawater was born in Fort Worth on February 07, 1951 and passed away at Harris Hospital in Fort Worth on January 20, 2021.  He was a 1968 graduate of Poly High School.

He retired in 2002 from Union Pacific Railroad after being employed for 44 years.  His interests included cars, Nascar racing, and immensely enjoyed fishing and boating. Steve had an intense and passionate love of Christ, family, church family and numerous friends.  He was dedicated to his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and always loved and totally committed to spending time with them as frequently as possible.

He is survived by his wife Bobbie Lou Tawater, mother Betty Sue Tawater, his brothers David Dale Tawater, Tony Neal Tawater, Timothy Noel Tawater, his sisters Angela Joy Walker, Paula Sue McCoy his daughters Dawn Green, Mindy Robinson, Stefanie JoLyn Smartt, and son Curtis Dean Bruner.  He had 14 grandchildren Casey, Randi Lou, Steven Kiel, Kathleen, Kailey, Kirstin (Scout), Ashlee, Alyssa, Camrynn, Cheyenne, Aaron, Saylor, Maverick, River, 9 great-grandchildren Casey Lee (Junior), Joshua, Rose, Chasity, Wilder, Jordan, Nixon, Jaxon, and Mason.

He is preceded in death by his father, Morris Lemuel Tawater, mother Jo Ann Thompson , his sister Jo Lynn Tawater, his  daughter Robin Renee Blissett, and his grandson Kody Dean Bruner.

Steve was dedicated to Christ and lived his life accordingly. He will be missed by many and will forever live on in our hearts.
