Naomi Ruth (Keele) Fowler

Naomi Ruth Fowler was born in Kerens, Texas on May 6, 1938, to Marvin Keele and Eloise Pearl Barber. Ruth passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 22, 2023, at the age of 85 in Crowley, Texas.

Ruth grew up with two sisters Dorothy, adopted sister Eunice, and two brothers Harlin and Alva.

While living in Corsicana, Texas she met the love of her life Eddie Lee Fowler, they married in 1954.

They had three children Eddie Ray, William Lee, and Norma Jean. They spend most of their life in Weatherford, Texas. Ruth worked very hard all her life always offering to give herself to help others, never asking for anything in return. She will always be remembered for her smile, warmth, energy, love of life, and dedication to family.

Ruth would like to let you know that her work here is done. She received an offer she could not refuse for a great assignment from which she will not be returning. This assignment came with a huge sign on bonus, a reunion with family and friends she has not seen in a long time. Job satisfaction is exactly 110 percent. Her new mission takes her to a wonderful place where she will be socializing to her heart’s content. Love and laughter are guaranteed. Food is delicious and you never gain an ounce. We here are nervous for those in heaven about all the changes she will make when it comes to rearranging the furniture. So, she bids you farewell and wants you to know she is at peace and is living eternally with her Savior Jesus Christ.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Eddie Lee Fowler, Father Marvin Keele, Mother Eloise Pearl, Stepfather Babe Banks, Brother Alva Keele, Sister Dorothy Hoppey, adopted sister Eunice Prince, and Grandson Wesley Roden.

Ruth is survived by her Brother Harlin Keele and Wife Evelyn. Son Eddie Ray Fowler and Wife Charlotte, their children Eddie and Crystal. Great grandchildren Kayla and husband Michael, Hailey, and Braxton Cruz. Great-great grandchildren Aria, Grant, Audrey, and Everley. Son William Lee Fowler and wife Patricia. Their children DeShaun and husband Michael, Britt and DeTessa. Great grandchildren Liam and Ledger. Daughter Norma Jean Carter and her child Bryan Roden and wife. Great grandchildren Bradleigh, Janiece Roden and great grandson Nolan.

Family and friends whose lives Ruth touched are invited to her viewing at Mountain Valley Funeral Home from 10 am – 11:30 am. Address 3407 Southwest Wilshire Blvd, Joshua, TX 76058. Following will be a graveside service at Moore Funeral Home at 1 pm. Pastor Aaron Scarbrough will be delivering the eulogy. Address 1219 North Davis Dr, Arlington, TX 76012.
