BURLESON -- Narvel L. Blackstock, 79, a retired engraver and painter for Lockheed Martin for 42 years, died Monday, Nov. 14, 2005, in Fort Worth. Funeral: 10 a.m. Thursday at Calvary Pentecostal Church, 700 McPherson Road, Fort Worth. Burial: Burleson Memorial Park in Burleson. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home in Burleson. Narvel Leroy Blackstock was born March 8, 1926, in Roscoe, the son of Shelby Herschel and Mabel Arona Sanderson Blackstock. He maried Gloria Alexander on July 11, 1942, in Cleburne. Mr. Blackstock was a member of Calvary Pentecostal Church in Fort Worth and the Texas Peace Makers Camping Club. He enjoyed traveling and was known as "around the block Sam." He and his wife were world travelers. He loved his church and adored his family. Survivors: Wife and high school sweetheart of 63 years, Gloria Blackstock of Burleson; son, Narvel W. Blackstock and wife, Reba, of Nashville, Tenn.; daughter, Patricia Law and husband, Dan, of Burleson; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two uncles; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends.
