BURLESON -- Nellie Ray Bransom, 93, of Burleson, a homemaker, died Saturday, March 21, 2009, in Burleson. Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday in Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Prairie Springs Cemetery in Burleson. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Nellie Ray Bransom was born May 10, 1915, in Jonesboro, La., to Eddie Felder and Caroline Milford White. She married James G.G. Bransom on Sept. 16, 1933, in Burleson. She was a member of Reece Prairie Baptist Church, loved gardening, canning and crocheting. She also enjoyed singing, playing the guitar, and Scrabble. Her family was always top priority in her life. She was a wonderful Christian lady who loved the Lord and will be dearly missed. Survivors: Daughters, Elaine Ford and husband, Frankie Lee, of Granbury, Betty Jane Russell Howeth and husband, Frank, of Joshua; grandchildren, Debra Sue Fettinger, Frankie Lynn Ford, Dana Lynne Bruce, Donna Michelle Bolton, Sharon Gaye Rains, Julie Ann Gilreath, Kim Haberman, Tony Haberman; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
