Nellie Faye Smith, 74, of Burleson, a retired bookkeeper for Moncrief Oil Co., died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2010, in Crowley. Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday in Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: White Church Cemetery, Glen Rose. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Nellie Faye Harrison Smith was born July 4, 1935, in Glen Rose to Ail Bernard and Arkansas Vinson Harrison. She married Loyd Smith on Oct. 27, 1967, in Rendon. She was a Baptist. Mrs. Smith liked to travel, especially to Las Vegas, Nev., vacations, writing poetry and dancing. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Jack and Claudy Harrison. Survivors: Husband, Loyd Smith of Burleson; daughters, Linda Phipps Lester and husband, Gary, of Crowley, Donna Phipps Heller and husband, Ed, of Crowley and Adina Smith Reed and husband, Jeremy, of Benton, Ark.; grandchildren, Gary Lester, Dustin Lester, Jayme Taylor, Alicia Coplin, Kansas Heller and Hailey Reed; great-grandchild, Madyson Taylor; nieces, Jackie Rae Gromacki and Becky Harrison Flippin; and nephew, James Harrison.
