Odis Edgar Green, 85, passed away Monday, Sept. 16, 2013, in White Settlement. Service: 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Interment: Coleman City Cemetery in Coleman. Visitation: 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Odis was born Feb. 24, 1928, in Coleman County to Willis Edgar and Lydia Dillard Green. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and received a Purple Heart. Odis loved playing 42, camping and dancing. He was a union electrician and a proud member and former president of IBEW, Local 116, of Fort Worth and was a 60-year member. We would like to thank all the staff of White Settlement Nursing Home for the wonderful care of Odis. Survivors: Sons, Eddie Green and wife, Cindy, of Joshua, Andy Hannah and wife, Linda, of White Settlement; grandchildren, Jacob Green and wife, Bobbi, of Searcy, Ark., Pennie Green of Joshua, Corey Freeman and husband, Clint, of Justin, Samantha Hannah of White Settlement, Alex Hannah of White Settlement; great-grandchildren, Boston Green, Jaxton Green, Clayton Merrifield, Caylie Hannah, Colton Freeman and Camryn Freeman; loving nephew, Danny Brown of Meridian, Miss.; and numerous loving cousins, extended family and friends.
