O.G. Townsend

CLEBURNE -- O.G. Townsend, 95, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2015, in Cleburne. Service: 11 a.m. Friday at Granbury Street Church of Christ in Cleburne. Interment: 2 p.m. Saturday in Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in San Angelo. Visitation: 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church. O.G. was born Aug. 23, 1919, in Cisco to Truman and Deffie Williams Townsend. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. O.G. loved fishing and deer hunting. He was a longtime member of Granbury Street Church of Christ. O.G. was married to Hazel for 72 years. Survivors: Wife, Hazel Townsend of Cleburne; daughters, Alice Riley and husband, Leo, Martha Cunningham and husband, Ric, Charlotte Walker and husband, John; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Johnnie Holland and Bobbie Rogers; extended family; and friends.
