Oleta LaVerne Keating, 84, of Burleson, a homemaker, passed away Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, in Burleson. Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park in Fort Worth. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Oleta was born June 5, 1928, in Panola County to Hiram Washington and Jewel Gary McClure. She liked sewing, cooking and flowers. Oleta was a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church in Burleson. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Waymon McClure. Survivors: Husband, Leo Keating of Burleson; sons, Mitchell Keating and wife, Donna, of Burleson, Jerry Keating and wife, Mary Lou, of Alvarado, Gary Steven Keating and wife, Jamie, of Alvarado; daughters, Paula Smith and husband, James, of Burleson, Ruth Keating and husband, Barry Allen, of Burleson; brother, James Virgil McClure of Kennedale; grandchildren, Jim Mitchell Keating, James Smith Jr., Julie Benton, Blake Keating, Zack Thompson, Jake Keating; six great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and other family.
