BURLESON -- Opal Juanita Polson, 88, of Burleson, a retired business owner, passed away Friday, July 30, 2010, in Crowley. Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday in Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Rio Vista Cemetery in Rio Vista. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Juanita was born Nov. 28, 1921, in Johnson County to Mason and Holly Johnson Peterson. She was a wonderful mother, homemaker and hard worker. Juanita was a lifelong resident of Johnson County and a resident of Burleson since 1961. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She also loved helping others in any way she could. Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, W.D. Polson, in 1959; daughter, Sondra Allen; parents; brothers, Carlton Peterson and Cecil Peterson; sister, Eloise Cope; and grandson, Gary Polson. Survivors: Sons, David Polson and wife, Janet, of Burleson, Charles Polson and wife, Joyce, of Trophy Club, Kelly Polson and wife, Jami, of Whitney, Randy Polson and wife, Valerie, of Burleson; son-in-law, James Allen; daughters, Tommie Dial and husband, Rodger, of Burleson, Vicki Kroon and husband, David, of Granbury; sister, Nelda Jean Jones of Cleburne. Nita was a proud grandmother and great-grandmother to 48 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
