Pat R. Wooten

Pat R. (Faris) Wooten, 85, formerly of Burleson and Amarillo, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2017. At Pat's request, there will be no services or viewing. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Ballinger. In lieu of flowers, memorials should to Town Hall Estates, 207 S. Old Betsy Rd, Keene, TX 76059. Pat was born April 10, 1931 in Ballinger to Lottie Webster and Ollie Halstead Faris. She married Ernie Wooten in July of 64'. They were married for 48 years. She and Ernie enjoyed their 5th wheel travels, going to trap shoots (clay targets), but the hobby she liked most was shopping. Pat was considered a "pro" amongst her shopping friends. She was drum majorette in High School. Pat was lovingly cared for by the staff at Town Hall Estates in Keene for almost 5 years. Her family and friends are so grateful for the love they showed Pat. She was preceded in death by parents; husband, Ernie Wooten; brother, L.W Faris; sisters, Eugie Flynt and Juanita Russell. Survivors: step-son, Paul of Florida; 3 generations of nieces and nephews; her furbaby, Molly; faithful friends, Jerry and Trish O'Connor; Jessie Hartwell; and a very special niece, Karen Russell who was always there any time she was needed.
