Patricia Ann "Patty" Mercer

BURLESON -- Patty Mercer, 43, a homemaker, died Friday, June 10, 2005, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday, First Baptist Church, Burleson. Burial: Burleson Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Patty was born July 28, 1961, in Clifton to Bill and Beth Holt Gardner. Patty was a devoted mother and homemaker. She loved her children and family. Her life centered around her children and church. Survivors: Husband of 24 years, Monte Mercer; son, Zachary Mercer; daughter, Kimberly Schwalk and husband, Brad; brothers, Danny Gardner and wife, Christy, Jimmy Gardner and wife, Kathleen, all of Burleson; parents, Bill and Beth Gardner of Joshua; aunt, Judy McNeil and husband, Mike of Stephenville; uncle, T.C. Gardner of Amarillo; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
