ARLINGTON -- Paul Thomas Putnam Sr., 85, a retired foreman in the Aviation Industry, died Tuesday, May 15, 2007 in Arlington. Funeral: 3:00 PM. Saturday in Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel in Burleson. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Scottish Rite hospital. Mr. Putnam was born Oct. 15, 1921 in Dallas to Henry Jay and Orilla Putnam. He proudly served his country in the US Army during WW II where he met and married Josephine Ford on June 22, 1944 in Chesier County, England. He and his wife were members of the Elizabeth Club and daughters of he British Empire Club. She preceded him in death in 1984. Mr Putnam was a Shriner, fifty year Mason, and a volunteer for the Arlington Mission. He was known as the "Candyman" in his neighborhood, and was a "cheerleader" for his grandkids. Survivors: Son, Paul Thomas Putnam Jr. and wife, Ann; daughters, Beverly Jo Malphette and husband, Michael, Victoria Lynn Crosby and husband, Victor; sister, Ora Mae Kahn; grandchildren, Shelli Lacy, Stacie Brown, Paul Putnam III, Michael Putnam, Todd Crosby, Terence Crosby, Jenifer Lawrence; great grandchildren, Amber Lacy, Brandi Putnam, Terence Ian Crosby II, Joshua David Crosby, Madyson Lawrence, Chad David Crosby, Caleb Anderson Crosby, and Devon Alma-Marie Atkinson.
