Paul Erwin Shepard

Paul Shepard passed away on February 27, 2022 in Burleson, TX. Paul was born in Iowa Park, Texas, he was 4 yrs old when the family moved to Elmo, TX. Paul went to Elmo Elementary and Wills Point High School. After he graduated, he joined the Navy. He served for 4years then he went back to Elmo. He then went to California to find work and get an education. He worked at the Southern California Gas company and went to school at night. He married Irene and adopted her two sons, Larry and Danny.

He graduated from Southern Western California College with Magna Cum Laude honors in Electrical Engineering. He continued with a Masters Degree in Corrosive Engineering. He worked for the same Gas company for 37 years before retiring. After retiring he started operated his own consulting company for 12 years. In 1996, Paul returned to TX and reunited with his family and friends. He attended Wills Point class reunions. He met many old friends, including Louise Springer Burress. They became great companions and married in 2003.They had wonderful years filled with love of traveling, cruising, enjoying country music, Spring training baseball trips, their families and their church Sunday school class, and their little dog Phoebe.

Mr. Shepard was preceded in death by his parents: Ethel and Jim P. Shepard, his son Larry Shepard and his wife Irene.

Paul will be missed by his wife, Louise, his son Danny and his wife Chris, his daughters Sara Godina and Blinda Rossi, four grandchildren, brother Butch, and his sisters Nancy and Donna Ann.
