Pauline Loflin

Pauline Loflin, 88, of Joshua, left this earth in the early morning, Saturday, March 1, 2014. Funeral Service: 10AM Thursday, March 6, 2014, Lane Prairie Baptist Church, Joshua, Reverend Jerry Clements officiating. Burial: Union Hill Cemetery, Joshua. Visitation: 6-8PM Wednesday, Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Pauline was born August 2, 1925, in Burleson, to Jeff and Claudia Busby Hildebrand. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 57 years, R.C. Loflin, daughter, Vicki Rodgers, and sister, Jeffie Bryant. Pauline graduated from Joshua High School class of 1942. She then attended Arlington State College (now UTA), where she was voted Ms. Arlington State College. Pauline worked for 37 years in the mailing and advertising department of Montgomery Wards, Fort Worth; later working for Pauline's Flowers and Gifts of Joshua. She was a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church of Joshua, with current membership at Lane Prairie Baptist Church of Joshua. Survivors: son, Gene Loflin, and wife Robin; son-in-law, Larry D. Rodgers, and wife Michelle; granddaughter, Lorie Porter, and husband Bryan; grandsons, Larry E. Rodgers, and wife Paige, Clint Loflin, Chad Loflin; great-grandchildren, Reid and Blake Rodgers, Ally and Will Porter; brother-in-law, Billy Bryant, and wife Mary; and a host of loving friends and extended family. The family wishes to express it's sincere appreciation to the staff of The Gardens at Chisolm Trail Nursing Home of Keene, especially Yolanda, Kim, and Holly, for the love and care they gave Mom; in addition, Accolade Hospice, Sandy and Donna, for the loving care given to Mom in her final months. We will miss Mom's kind, gentle, and loving spirit. May the Angels watch over her until we meet again.
