JOSHUA -- Peggy Louise Ellis, 68, a retired cafeteria manager, passed away at home Sunday, July 20, 2008. Service: 10 a.m. Wednesday in Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Caddo Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Peggy was born May 18, 1940, in Rio Vista to Jack and Buna Wiley Rotenberry. She married William C. "Bill" Ellis on March 18, 1960, in Fort Worth. Peggy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with family and friends. Peggy also liked horses, horse racing, painting and trips to Shreveport. She was a great cook and loved cooking for the family. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Bessie Lackey and Helen Jones; and brother, Bobby Gene Rotenberry. Survivors: Husband, William C. "Bill" Ellis of Joshua; son, Mike Ellis and wife, Jerri, of Crowley; daughter, Barbara Abel-Clark and husband, Dusty, of Crowley; grandchildren, Cassie, Tara, Billy, Bobby and Jamey; brothers, Cliff Rotenberry and wife, Sharen, of Cleburne, Tommy Rotenberry and wife, Betty, of Crowley and Chester Rotenberry and wife, Lillian, of Rio Vista; and numerous extended family members and friends.
