Peggy Jo (Keen) Moore

Peggy Jo Keen was born May 7, 1929 to Homma “Fuzzy” Keen & Bonnie Christine Truelove. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents as well as her step mother, Gladys Godfrey Keen.

Peggy married George Moore on May 21, 1955. George preceded her in death.

Peggy is survived by 3 children, Donna Moore Teaff & husband Monty, Doug Moore & wife Laura, & Diane Moore & spouse Mignone Rauch.  She had 5 grandchildren Whitney Self, Brady Teaff, Blake Moore, Hailey Moore & Cannon Moore. She also had 6 great-grandchildren Teagan & Kinsler Self, Savannah, Adelaide & Bryce Teaff & Grayson Jones.

Peggy spent most her time caring for children.  She worked in the First Baptist Church of Burleson’s nursery for many, many years.  She worked in the kindergarten classes at Burleson ISD as well as in the special education classes. Peggy loved working with children.

Peggy enjoyed watching any kind of sports on TV, especially college basketball. When Donna, Doug & Diane were in school she was like a taxi cab taking them to practices and games.  She never missed a game.

When Grandchildren came along, she began caring for them. She was Mimi to the kids.  She would take the kids to Dairy Twin on Wednesdays after school for twist cones.  You could always find her watching them at their sporting events.
