BURLESON -- Ralph Dale Bradtmueller, 79, of Burleson, a retired substance abuse counselor, passed away Monday, April 4, 2011, in Fort Worth. Memorial service: A private service will be held at a later date. Memorials: American Lung Association, in lieu of flowers. Ralph was born Sept. 22, 1931, in Fort Wayne, Ind., to Ferdinand and Flora Oetting Bradtmueller. He was a loving father and grandfather who loved the grandchildren. Ralph proudly served his country in the Army Infantry in occupied Europe after World War II. Ralph was very proud of his work as a substance abuse counselor and helping people through Alcoholics Anonymous. Last, but not least, Ralph loved golf and watching the Indiana Hoosiers basketball team. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors: Sons, Paul Bradtmueller and wife, Denise, of Burleson and John Bradtmueller of Sarasota, Fla.; daughter, Karen Irwin and husband, Dan, of Normal, Ill.; nine grandchildren; one great-grandson; extended family and friends.
