BURLESON -- R.C. Stanley, 77, a self-employed hay baler, died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2006, in Fort Worth. Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday in Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Burial: Hay Family Cemetery in Johnson County. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. R.C. was born Nov. 6, 1928, in Grandview to Rufus Franklin and Ruth Ellen Smith Stanley. R.C. loved farming, hay baling, tractors and telling jokes. Survivors: Wife, Jean Stanley of Burleson; son, Douglas Carl Stanley and wife, Becky, of Waco; daughters, Fannie Ruth Stanley Dupree and husband, David, of Gainesville, Fla., Egenie Rose Smith of Burleson, Jacqueline Kay Stanley of Crowley, Trisha Lynn Johnson of Fort Worth and Tanya Sheree Stanley of Burleson; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Horton Stanley of Joshua, Joe Don Stanley of Cleburne and Jimmy Stanley of Rio Vista; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
