BURLESON -- Reba Joyce Ledbetter, 77, of Burleson, a retired health-care office manager, died Tuesday, March 31, 2009, in Fort Worth. Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday at Burleson Church of Christ. Interment: Burleson Memorial Park. Visitation: 5:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Memorials: Burleson Church of Christ Building Fund or a charity of choice. Mrs. Ledbetter was born Oct. 3, 1931, in Tolar to Morgan Curtis and Mertie Alice Plumlee Wade. She married Darrell William Ledbetter on Oct. 20, 1951, in Fort Worth. They moved to the Burleson area in 1961 and were members of Burleson Church of Christ. Darrell preceded her in death June 13, 2001. Reba taught the 4-year-old and 5-year-old Sunday school class for many years and was instrumental in starting the Tuesday/Thursday school that is still in operation today. She was also preceded in death by her parents. Survivors: Sons, David Wade Ledbetter and wife, Martha, of Burleson, William Alan Ledbetter and wife, Lettia, of Midlothian; daughters, Cheryl Ann Williams and husband, Buster, of Burleson, Kelly Joyce Cantrell and husband, Steve, of Keller; brother, William Curtis Wade and wife, Paula, of Denison; sister, Delia Ruth Carpenter and husband, Dean, of Denison; grandchildren, Sarah A, Marciniak and husband, Grant, David Wade Ledbetter Jr. and wife, Juli Beth, Leah A. Waldrum and husband, Ryan, Luke A. Williams and wife, Linsay, Dustin W. Ledbetter, Samantha D. Ledbetter, Derek A. Ledbetter and wife, Samantha, Lauren M. Cantrell and James Ryan Cantrell; great-grandchildren, David Wade Ledbetter III, Lafe Ellis Ledbetter, Joseph Cale Ledbetter, Mason Gail Marciniak, Laney Ryanne Marciniak, Ethan Andrew Williams; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and many others whom she called her children.
