Richard King

Richard King's Obituary Richard King was born in Geary, Oklahoma on May 14, 1941 to Odell and Helen King. He passed away on December 29, 2024 at the age of 83. Richard grew up on the family farm with his parents and two brothers, Kenneth and Darrell. He met Carolyn Stephens at Durant High School and they married on June 8, 1958. Richard retired from H.B. Zachary after 37 years of construction work. He was a dedicated worker and had advanced to become an Excavation Superintendent. His work required many moves for his family. He bought property in Joshua, Texas and resided on Eddy Avenue for 50 years. He enjoyed the outdoors and the beauty of creation. Camping and fishing!! Richard is survived by his beloved wife, Carolyn King and their three children. Carol Hall and husband Jerry; children Nicole, Mark and Daniel. Dale King and wife Lena; children Wesley and Jordan. Toni Lee and husband Tommy; children Katrina, Zack and Chris. He was blessed with 15 great-grandchildren: Brookelyn Wylie, Lucas Wylie, Adah Wylie; Jaxson Wylie, Vivienne Wylie, Leighton Wylie; Lilly King, Hezekiah King, Josiah King, Asher King; Ryland Haley, Skyler Haley, Cryton Haley, Brynlie Haley; and Brylie Pytel. He was preceded in death by his parents, Odell and Helen; his brothers Kenneth and Darrell. He will be greatly missed by all who have known him and by his family that deeply love him.
