BURLESON -- Robert Floyd "Pop" Hardin, 82, went home to the Lord on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2007, at his residence in Burleson. Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday at Bethesda Baptist Church in Burleson. Interment: Bethesda Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Memorials: Bethesda Baptist Church Building Fund, in lieu of flowers. Mr. Hardin was born Feb. 14, 1925, in Johnson County to Marion Clark "Bud" and Annie Lou Landers Hardin. He married Martha Irene Vickers on May 2, 1948, in Alvarado. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and retired from the city of Fort Worth after 31 years of service. Pop loved his Lord, family and the farm. He was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. Pop enjoyed sharing his knowledge of farming with his grandchildren, who were his pride and joy. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and his sister. Survivors: Loving wife of 59 years, Irene Hardin; son, Bob Hardin and wife, Leisa; daughter, Mary Ann Bray and husband, Jerry; brother, Weldon Hardin and wife, Margaret; grandchildren, Robert Bray and wife, Keri, Amy Johnson and husband, Michael, Krecia Ball and husband, Travis, Bud Hardin and Mandi Stucks; great-grandchildren, Chaya and Eli Bray, Olivia Johnson and Mayce and Zane Robert Ball; and many nieces, nephews and loving friends.
