Robert M. Hinderliter December 10, 1940 - January 11, 2024
Robert M. Hinderliter, 83, of Burleson, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2024. Born in Mooreland, Oklahoma, he was raised on the family farm in Quinlan, Oklahoma, where he developed a profound connection to nature and a strong work ethic. A graduate of Mooreland High School and Oklahoma State University with a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, he honorably served in the Air Force National Guard flying B-57's.
In the early 1970s, he moved to Fort Worth, Texas, and established a successful business in the power washing industry. Known as an industry leader, Robert was passionate about mentoring aspiring entrepreneurs.
A devout Christian, Robert was an active member of the Church of the Nazarene. His faith led him on several mission trips, where he dedicated his time and skills to serve communities in need. His commitment to his faith and community service was a testament to his generous spirit.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Anna Lee Hinderliter, and his grandchild, James King. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Hinderliter, and lovingly remembered by his first wife, Carol Hinderliter. He was a beloved father to Michael Hinderliter, Lisa Stepan (married to Craig Stepan), and Troy Hinderliter. He took immense joy in his role as a grandfather to Kaitlyn; Amber Laino (and her children Sophia and Tobias); Mitchell Stepan (and his children Asher, Everly, and Lola); Clint Stepan (and his children Kenzington and Beckett); and Hannah Stepan.
Robert also cherished his relationship with his stepchildren, Robbie King (father to Mariah, Darrell, James, and Eli) and Rusty King (father to Kyndall Dolan and Laci King). Kyndall Dolan's children, Gabe, Kaydence, Gracie, and Knox, Laci King's children, Bryli and Braxton and James Kings daughter Chloe were also dear to him.
He leaves behind his sisters, Yvonne (married to Lee Castell) and Joy (married to Clark Struebing), sisters-in-law Gail Fields, and Irene Pape, and brother-in-law Wilson McGuire.
A celebration of Robert's life will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Pathway Church, 325 NW Renfro St, Burleson, TX 76028. His legacy of faith, love, and dedication to his family and community will continue to inspire those who knew him.
