Robert Eugene Holaway

Robert Eugene Holaway, 71, of Burleson, retired from the Santa Fe Railroad, passed away Friday, July 15, 2011, in Fort Worth. Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Burleson Church of Christ. Interment: Burleson Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Burleson Church of Christ building fund. Robert was born Nov. 22, 1939, in Fort Worth to Jake and Audie Mae Whitten Holaway. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Robert married Anna Curb on June 17, 1966, in Grand Prairie. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Robert loved his wife, children and grandchildren very much. Robert was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors: Wife, Anna Holaway of Burleson; sons, Robert Scott Holaway and wife, DeLinda, of Burleson, Steve Holaway and wife, Ivette, of Burleson; brother, Jimmy Neal Holaway and wife, Mary, of Irving; grandchildren, Ted Fitzgerald of Olathe, Kan., Cristalyn Fitzgerald of Burleson, Alyssa Holaway Finley of Burleson, Mason Scott Holaway of Burleson; many cousins, extended family and friends.
