Robert Eugene Jeffers

Robert “Bob” E. Jeffers, 76 of Burleson, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 29, 2023.  A Memorial Service is scheduled for 3:00pm on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Marystown Baptist Church 3900 Conveyor Dr Burleson, TX 76028 with Bro. Larry Russell officiating.  Arrangements are entrusted to Mountain Valley Funeral Home.

Bob was born in Charleston, West Virginia on October 29, 1946 to Robert Eugene Jeffers and Jayne Curtis Jeffers. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Bobbie Sue Jeffers; son, Peter and Beth Jeffers and grandchildren Brayden, Anna Jane and Corie; daughter, Christie Portor ; step-children: Cindy and Troy Simmons, Tammy and Brett Miller, James Etheridge and Lala Villarreal, and Shawn Etheridge; grandchildren:Zack Lovelace, Dean Simmons, Gene and Hailey Simmons, Clayton and Hannah Simmons, Justin Miller, Kristin and Leonard Davis, Tiffani and Zane Sipes, Brandie Etheridge, Ryan Etheridge and Felicia Simmons, Nikki and Barrett Hammontree and Jessica Sergeant;great-grandchildren: Miller, Ruby, Alexander, Levi, Luke, Malorie, Colt, Addison, Shawn, Michael, Andrew, Matthew, Brynlee and Saylor; sister, Patricia Coleman; brother, Tom and Pam Jeffers; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Eugene Jeffers and Jane Curtis Jeffers.

Bob spent many years working in retail as a shoe salesman and enjoyed time in the Fort Worth Stockyards at their souvenir shop, Birdhouses Plus. He enjoyed his retirement years working his garden, fishing and spending time with family and friends.
