JOSHUA -- Robert Duwain Montgomery, 71, a retired assembler for General Motors, died Thursday, Dec. 1, 2005, in Fort Worth. Graveside service: 10 a.m. Monday in Laurel Land Memorial Park, Fort Worth. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home in Burleson. Mr. Montgomery was born Sept. 18, 1934, in San Angelo to Cooper and Lucille Boughter Montgomery. He married Juela Stilwell on Nov. 28, 1958, in Weatherford. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and spent 18 months in Guam. He retired from General Motors in 1993. Survivors: Wife, Juela "Judy" Montgomery of Joshua; daughters, Diane Montgomery of Houston, JoAnn Thrasher and husband, Robert of Crowley; sons, Monty Montgomery of Houston, Marty Montgomery of Pasadena; grandchildren, Jennifer and Chris Thrasher, Vanessa Phillips; great-granddaughter, Janae Earvin; nieces, Diana Martin of El Paso and Jay Rapp; and nephews, Mike and Mitchell Montgomery.
