Robert "Bob" Rybka Obituary

Robert "Bob" David Rybka was reunited with the love of his life, Arleene D. Rybka, on February 14, 2025. Born to Peter and Stephanie (Adamiec) Rybka on February 7, 1939, Bob was the oldest of four children.

Bob grew up in Chicago and attended Gordon Tech High School. After high school, he entered the U.S. Air Force, however because he was color blind, he worked in accounting while in the military. Upon his honorable discharge in 1963, he began working at Lakeview Bank. It was there that he met the love of his life, Arleene (Koster). He told his family many times over the years that he knew from the moment he met Arleene, he was going to marry her. To impress the most beautiful woman he had ever seen, he bought a Chevy Impala, and the rest, as they say, is history. Bob and Arleene married on June 3, 1967, and had two daughters, Kimberly and Cheryl. Bob later moved his family to Des Plaines, IL, and left the bank to work as a realtor and eventually for the U.S. Post Office.

Bob was a diehard Chicago Bears fan. He had season tickets for over 40 years and would religiously go to the home games with Dave Koch, affectionately known as our "Bear Uncle." Even after moving to Texas and selling his season tickets to family, Bob still loved Da Bears.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Stephanie Rybka, sister Patricia Tworek, brother-in-law Stanley Tworek, sister-in-law Jacqueline Rybka and his wife of 54 years, Arleene.

Bob leaves behind sister Deborah (John) Blumenstein, brother Richard Rybka, daughters Kimberly and Cheryl Rybka, grandsons Derrick (Tori) Rybka, Christopher (Bailey) Rybka, Gabriel Krzywicki, great grandson Liam Rybka and three dogs (Bentley Addison, Wrigley Clark and Charlie Bacardi Rybka).
