Robert Leon Welch Jr.

BURLESON -- Robert Leon Welch Jr., 70, a retired Msgt in the U.S. Air Force, died Friday, July 20, 2007, in Joshua. Graveside service: 10 a.m. Monday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Mr. Welch was born Oct. 26, 1936, in McClellanville, S.C., to Robert L. Sr. and Ida Welch. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force as an aviation mechanic. He was a 32nd degree mason, very active in the masonic lodge, and member of the Church of Christ. Survivors: Mother, Ida Welch of McClellanville, S.C.; son, Robert L. Welch III of Crowley; daughter, Barbara Jean Frost and husband, James, of Burleson; stepdaughter, Anabell Akers of Fort Worth; three sisters; grandchildren, Briane Rivera, Nicholas Rivera, Kimberley Frost, Samuel Frost, Aubrie Mayfield and Darryl Akers; and several nieces and nephews.
