Roger L. Kass, Sr., 60, of Burleson, Texas died on March 25th, 2005. He was born in Chicago, Il, 1944. He was a loving husband, brother, father, grandfather, and giving friend. He spent the past 11 years working as the Regional Vice President for Federal Contract Cleaners. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, playing with his grandchildren, fishing, movies, and travel. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1963-1971, including South Pacific, South-East Asia, and Canada. Married to Betty Sue Martin, of Fort Worth, Texas, in February 1966. Roger is survived by: Wife Betty Kass; daughter Leslie Brightbill; two sons Roger Jr. and Michael Paul; grandchildren Emily, Garrett, and Jordan, of West Chester, Pa; Allison, Kathleen, and Brenden, of Fort Worth, Tx; Caitlyn, and Nicklaus, of Lufkin, Tx; and Sister Mary Lou Goza of Poplar Bluff, Mo. He was a member of the Burleson Church of the Nazarene, where he attended in faith and service. Viewing hours will be Tuesday March 29th, 6-8 pm, Mountain Valley Funeral home. Services will be at Burleson 1st Church of the Nazarene on Wednesday March 30th at 2 p.m. The service will be presided by the pastor of the church, Rev. Alton Ashby and assisted by Dr. Herman Plotts. Pallbearers: Jeff Hansen, Trey Martin, Scott Baird, Christian Baird, Richard Arslanovski, Otto Arslanovski, Mark Phillips, and Ken Martin. Roger was always the first to help someone in need, sharing whatever he had. He will be missed by all those he touched.
