BURLESON -- Rosa Lee Grimes, 82, a retired sales clerk, died Wednesday, May 9, 2007, in Fort Worth. Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Burial: Rendon Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Rosa was born Sept. 17, 1924, in Littlefield to Thomas R. and Rosa Mahanay Long. She married Loyd Grimes on April 19, 1946, in Fort Worth. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Rosa was preceded in death by her parents; in-laws; brothers and sisters, Melvin Long, Clayton Long, Ray Long, Inez Bledsue, Joyce Champagne; and son-in-law, Bill Alexander. Survivors: Husband, Loyd George Grimes of Burleson; daughters, Elizabeth Ann Alexander of Dale, Patsy Lynch of Fort Worth, Nancy Joost and husband, Ray, of Montgomery; grandchildren, Michael Lynch and wife, Stephanie, of Fort Worth, Shane Lynch and wife, Meredith, of Dallas, Chad Joost and wife, Denise, of Houston, Brandon Joost and wife, Melissa, of Katy, Dustin Joost of Denton; great-grandchildren, Hunter Lynch, Sydney Lynch; sister, Jewel Martens and husband, Don, of Rendon; brother, Jim Long of Azle; sisters-in-law, Betty Long of Fort Worth, Jane Ahrens Lomenick and husband, Buddy, of Haltom City; and numerous nieces and nephews.
