Rosemary Kemmerer Highfill was born February 8, 1915, in Kansas City, Missouri to Carl F. and Edith Lora (Sandberg) Kemmerer. She passed from this life on September 29, 2015, in Burleson, Texas, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Helen and Paul Emert, surrounded by her loving family. She was an only child of her parents. She was raised in Heavener, Oklahoma, where her father was a train dispatcher for the Kansas City Southern Railroad. She graduated from Heavener High School in 1933. Much of her life was spent in LeFlore County, Oklahoma, with the exception of one year in Centralia Washington, five years in Mansfield, Arkansas and 17 years in Hugo, Oklahoma. Since December, 2000, she has lived in Burleson, Texas. On August 25, 1934, she was united in marriage to William Herman Highfill, God's called-out minister of the Gospel. To this union were born the following children: Dr. William Carl Highfill (now deceased) and his wife, Dr. Trish McAdams, of Greeley, Co; Lora Ellen Shriver and her husband, Tom, of Dallas, TX; Dr. Marilyn Hurd of Crowley, TX; Donald Bryan Highfill and his wife, Erma, of Waco, TX; Helen Virginia Emert and her husband, Paul, of Burleson, TX; and Kem David Highfill and companion, Richard Brehm, of Savannah GA and Madison, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Willian Herman Highfill, and son Carl Highfill.
