Roy Andrew Hampton Ii

Roy Andrew Hampton II passed away Saturday March 2, at home in Burleson. Funeral Mass: 1PM Wednesday, March 6, at St. Ann Catholic Church of Burleson. Visitation/Rosary: 6-8PM Tuesday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Roy was born August 23, 1979 in Ft. Worth. He was a 1998 graduate of Burleson High School, and a 2003 graduate of Trinity University, excelling academically and athletically. Roy was always a natural leader, and life of the party, he was a quarterback on and off the field. While at Trinity, Roy was a three-time All American quarterback, setting numerous school records, ultimately leading his team to the NCAA National Championship game in 2002. Most important, Roy was fiercely loyal as a son, brother, and father, and never met anyone that was not soon his friend. His willingness to share will never be forgotten. To know him was to love him. Survivors: parents, Roy Hampton SR, and wife, Cindy; son, Andrew Hampton; brothers, Michael Hampton and wife Leigh Ann, Marcus Hampton, and John Hampton; grandmother, Marie Hampton; nephews, Ben and Evan; and numerous loving extended family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to the Andrew Vaughn Hampton Fund at any Wells Fargo Bank location or ATM.
