JOSHUA -- Ruby Leveda Nichols, 73, of Joshua, a homemaker, passed away Wed. March 14, 2012 in Joshua. Funeral : 10 am Mon. Mountain Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation: 2-4 Sunday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Interment: Caddo Cemetery in Joshua. Ruby was born May 2, 1938 in Fort Worth to Rube and Artie Wallace Vickers. She married Donald Nichols on Dec. 28, 1984. Ruby was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to go to Walmart, work on her flower beds and in her yard. Ruby also loved going to garage sales. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Dana Morphew; brother, Clois Vickers; granddaughter, Taylor Walters and grandson, Michael Ray Johnson Jr. Survivors: Husband of 28 years, Donald Nichols of Joshua; son, Garry Don Nichols of Nashville, Ark.; daughters, Tanya Heimann of Burleson, Glenda Gathings and husband Bobby of Joshua, Terrie Ladd and husband Todd of Quitman; 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; sisters, Margie Perkins, Fay Spangler and Sheila Ice; extended family and friends.
